Three Dimensional Printmaking Forms

On the occasion of the 1st Cyprus printmaking biennale for young artists, Aigaia School of Art and Design is presenting an exhibition of three dimensional printmaking forms. The main purpose of the exhibition is to promote the art of Printmaking through a particular focus to three-dimensional results. Printmaking is showcased as the ultimate creative expressive medium for the creation of different art pieces. Artworks take volume, decorate and create spaces, become an object that serves the artist.

Aigaia School of Art and Design has created a model printmaking workshop, suitable for the teaching of all techniques. Printmaking is a major subject for students in the higher education courses. Additionally, appropriate levels of printmaking courses are part of all the teaching departments of the school, including children, teenagers, adults and specialized short courses.

Promoting the art of printmaking is a continuous aim for Aigaia, since this is the fourth specialized printmaking exhibition organized and presented by the school. Continuous offering of the highest quality in education and the creation of a distinct contemporary visual culture are among the most important objectives of the School and in this context the enviable tradition that the school created in contemporary printmaking art, which characterizes it.
