Alexia Eliadou Hadjistefanou


Alexia Eliadou Hadjistefanou was born in Limassol. She studied Interior & Textile design at Central Sain't Martins and completed her studies in October 1994. From 1997 - 2005 she was the founder, co-owner and director of "Ledri" School of Art and Design. In 2005 she established "Aigaia" School of Art and Design, for which she is the owner and director. Since September 2011 Aigaia has been registered with the Ministry of Education as the only accredited private art and design institute of tertiary education in Cyprus. She is responsible for the organisation, promotion and realisation of exhibitions and projects in all fields of fine, applied and performing arts. She is also responsible for developing all academic programmes of Aigaia School of Art and Design, most recent result the official accreditation of the "Visual Arts" 2 year diploma.

Angelo Philota Hadjianastassiou

Angelo Philota holds a BA degree in Art History (from the University of Southampton) and an MA in Arts Criticism an Management from the City University London. She believes that art education is important because it helps expand one's mind and develop intelligence. Through the Art history students can understand and study different cultures and periods.

Anna Alexandrou

She was born in Nicosia in 1982. She was awarded a degree of «Fine Arts» from the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2006. Since 2007, she is part of the academic staff of Aigaia School of Art and Design. At the same time, she has been actively developing her personal work and participated in exhibitions, contests and seminars.She has awards from competitions and attendance at seminars. Her work can be found found in government owned and private collections.

Aphrodite Ioannou

Aphrodite Ioannou holds a Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design from Kingston University since 2007 and has been practicing freelance fashion design. She is currently studying to complete her MBA in Management at the University of Nicosia. In 2009 she became part of the academic team of Aigaia School of Art and Design and a year later part of the management team of the school. She is leading the Fashion department at Aigaia, involved in the development, promotion and realisation of the fashion programmes. She has also been teaching Fashion and Textiles on all tertiary and secondary education programmes of the school.

Denis Constantinou

Denis Constantinou holds an MA in 3D Animation from NCCA BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY since 2009. He is the Animation Lecturer at Aigaia School of Art and design since 2012. He is an ART DIRECTOR with over 10 years experience in visual design, illustration and animation. Passionate about design always aiming for the best quality results.

Eleana Chrysanthou Petoussi

Eleana Chrysanthou Petoussi was born in Nicosia, 1982.
She studied fine arts in Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I.Suricov, in Russia. She specialised in monumental art with professor E.N.Maximov. In 2007 she graduated with honorary diploma. Since then she lives and works in Cyprus, as an art tutor and assessor of drawing and painting in tertiary and secondary education courses at Aigaia School of Art and Design. As an artist she took part in group exhibitions and art contests in Cyprus and Russia receiving distinctions and awards. In 2010 she had her first personal exhibition at Gallery Gloria, Nicosia. In 2016 she had her second personal exhibition at Aigaia Exhibition Space in Nicosia. Her paintings can be found found in government owned and private collections.

Eleni Panayidou

Born in 1985 in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied Fine Art - Printmaking at the University of Brighton. She then completed her Postgraduate Degree (M.A) in Printmaking at the Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts in London.
She is Printmaking Tutor on the BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and Printmaking Tutor, 2-year Diploma in "Art and Design" at Aigaia School of Art and Design.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of "Hambis Printmaking School - Museum" and she is teaching at the School.
In 2009 she had her first solo exhibition "Between the Lines "at Argo Gallery in Nicosia, Cyprus. In 2012 she had her second solo exhibition Topoanalysis, at Argo Gallery in Nicosia and in 2014 she had her third solo exhibition at Hambis Printmaking Museum, Platanisteia, Limassol.
She has been awarded with the John Purcell Award, 2008 (Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London) and with the First Prize in Printmaking, in the Fine Art competition in honor of Telemachos Kanthos , 2010.

Evdokia Savva

Evdokia Savva is a young ceramic designer from Cyprus, who recently graduated from Central Saint Martins with Distinction in MA Design Ceramics. She worked in various fields of education with most recent her position as a ceramic tutor on tertiary and secondary education courses at Aigaia.

She has always been fascinated about exploring the notion of form, texture as well as colour. Being interested about her country's crafts, culture and traditions, her aim through her MA project was to sensitively revive and improve the existing ceramics processes that take place in the Cypriot pottery repertoire, whilst still being a reminder of the Cypriot culture.

Marina Ioannidou

Marina Ioannidou was born in Nicosia, 1978.
Student of painters Kyriakos Tamanas, Andreas Charalambous and Katy Stefanidou in Cyprus, graduated from professor G. Giulietti's and S.C.Vinciguerra's Painting workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, Italy, 2001.
Among others, she also studied the Art of Engraving and Artist's Anatomy with prof.Gennari, Sculpture with prof. Preti and Marble Carving Techniques with prof.Luccacchini, in the Sculture workshop, from where she graduated with full marks.
She took part in art exhibitions, both in Cyprus and in Italy, with her watercolours and sculptures. Also took part in photography exhibitions, short films and documentaries, in Cyprus.
Since October 2008, she works as an art tutor and assessor of drawing, painting and sculpting in tertiary and secondary education courses at Aigaia School of Art and Design.

Αlexia Makridou

Alexia Makridou holds an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, graduating with honors from the University of Arts London. She also holds an ΜSc in Marketing from the University of Manchester. She lives and works in Nicosia. She has participated in exhibitions both in Cyprus and abroad. In 2015 her photography book 'After-before' was hosted in the Benaki Museum in Athens as part of the Photo Athens Festival.
