SHORT SPECIALISED COURSES ARE OFFERED TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WISH TO BE CREATIVE, LEARN AND DEVELOP SPECIALISED TECHNIQUES IN VARIOUS FIELDS OF ART AND DESIGN.

 

Etching seminars will be offered January - February 2015

During these seminars we will focus on the basic etching techniques, using non toxic chemicals on zinc plates and experiment with soft and hard ground techniques. The aim of these seminars is to explore and comprehend the possibilities of this technique, starting from drawing on the plate with needles, followed by the «biting» of the plate and finally the printing of the image.

THEATRE WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

from AIGAIA THEATRE in collaboration with

THALIN SYLLOGIKO TECHNON (Thalin Arts Collective)

 

Open call for young actors 14+

to indicate their interest to participate to the free theatre workshop

 

“We invite you to join us on a journey…in this intensive process through the silent magic of performance (physical theatre/dance/movement) and with the use of multiple mediums of art we will create our own version of Odysseus’ journey. Using our bodies as a canvas we will create our own narratives and discover the innumerable ways to tell stories”.

COST OF APPLICATION: 20Euro and is payable with the handing in of your application form.

*The application forms must be handed in at the office of Aigaia school of art & design, as soon as possible

CHOSEN PARTICIPANTS: All participants will be chosen after the assessment of their application and will be notified well before the beginning of the workshop.

TEACHING LANGUAGE: GREEK & ENGLISH 

 

Aigaia Theatre in collaboration with Thalin Arts Collective offer the creative theatre workshop "Odysseia en kinisi" (Odyssey in movement), for young individuals age 14+, which will take place from Monday 21 - Friday 25 July 2014 from 9:00am - 5:00pm daily. The final presentation/ performance will be a devised piece created by all the participants in the workshop on the Friday 25 July at 7.00pm.

 

"Odysseia en kinisi" is the stimulus for organizing and running a series of free workshops about visual and performing arts aiming the development of theatre and art education of young people in Cyprus. Aigaia is also aiming to contribute towards the quality employment and engagement of young people within the areas of visual and performing arts.


In times of economic recession it is important for us to organize and offer events and workshops dedicated to the development and cultivation of the young creative talents of Cyprus, encouraging their professional engagement within the visual and performing arts world. Investing in the education of our youth, we simultaneously invest s in a better and brighter future for our country.

 

The Educators of this workshop will be Simone Khenkin, with drama and theater education studies with passion for children's theater, Violetta Koutsoukou with theatrical studies and passion for the classical theater and Miltos Gerolemou who has great theatrical experience in theatre and film roles, among others, he played "Syrio Forel" in the Game of Thrones and we welcome him as the movement expert.

 

The completed application forms for the workshop have to be handed in at Aigaia's office as soon as possible, and the application cost is 20EuroThe individuals that will be chosen will take part in the workshop free of charge after an assessment of their application. The workshop is offered both in Greek and English.
